Matthew Tandy
Attorney and Owner
Matthew Tandy, Attorney and Owner of Tandy Law Firm, has extensive experience across various legal fields, including hands-on trial work and insurance defense. His deep passion for the legal system and commitment to building strong client relationships inspired him to establish his own firm in 2013. Matt’s journey began with a biology degree from Purdue University, followed by research at the VA Hospital, but a Trial Practice class ignited his desire to passionately advocate for clients. Today, he is dedicated to guiding clients through today’s complex legal landscape with clear communication, complete honesty, and a focus on achieving the best outcomes.
Experience
- Attorney for Large Plaintiff Firm
- With a deep commitment to client advocacy, Matt worked tirelessly to secure justice and fair compensation for individuals who have been injured due to negligence. Known for his compassionate approach and attention to detail, Matt has played a key role in successfully navigating complex cases, from car accidents, slip and falls, animal bites, and wrongful death claims. His dedication to excellence and passion for helping clients rebuild their lives made him an invaluable asset to the team.
- Insurance Defense Lawyer
- Handled all aspects of insurance defense. Responsible for management of caseload of approximately one hundred clients, conducting depositions, as well as written discovery. Mediated numerous settlements and first chaired several jury trials.
- Attorney, Marion County Public Defender Agency
- Responsible for all aspects of criminal litigation on behalf of clients. Responsible for negotiating plea agreements and/or preparing for trial. During time as public defender, tried over one hundred cases at the bench, as well as several jury trials.
